Few homes in the English capital of London are as big or as beautiful as this one. Described by United Kingdom Sotheby's International Realty as "a once-in-a-generation trophy home", this impressive property lies in the neighbourhood of Knightsbridge, in a handsome redbrick mansion block.

Amazingly, it benefits from over 11,000 square feet (1,022sqm) of living space and is arranged over four floors. 

The so-called quadruplex was masterminded by renowned developer Finchatton and finished by leading superyacht design studio RWD. So, as you can imagine, the interior spaces are finished to perfection, with parquet flooring, elegant wainscoting and stone fireplaces.

As well as all the usual reception rooms and bedrooms, you’ll also find an amazing basement level that was designed for entertaining. It comes with an elegant cinema, a games room and a wine cellar.

There’s also an incredible gym, kitted out with everything you could need for the perfect workout. It's no surprise that this beautiful property comes with an eye-watering price tag.

Listed with United Kingdom Sotheby's International Realty in April 2025, the home was valued at £40 million ($53.1m).

Truly a home fit for a billionaire, The Manor, in the affluent Holmby Hills neighbourhood of Los Angeles, once belonged to Petra Ecclestone, the daughter of Formula One founder Bernie Ecclestone. According to Mansion Global, Petra purchased the property in 2011 for £64.4 million ($85m).

The lavish home was constructed in 1991 for TV producer Aaron Spelling – the man behind Dynasty and Beverly Hills 90210. Yet Petra Ecclestone is said to have spent a lot of time and money renovating the place, and it shows... 

The 56,500-square-foot (5,249sqm) mansion comes equipped with endless living rooms, 14 bedrooms and 27 bathrooms. Every single room is decked out with the finest finishes and materials, including marble and limestone.

Yet the home's most exciting feature has to be its basement. There's a billiard room, a games room, a wine cellar, a gym, a nightclub, and a two-lane bowling alley, with its own shoe closet.

Although we're not entirely sure these amenities are located in the basement, the home has a room dedicated to cutting flowers, a humidity-controlled room for storing silver, a French wine and cheese room and multiple gift-wrapping rooms. There’s even a beauty salon, complete with a hairdresser's station, nail bar, massage rooms and a pedicure zone. 

It's no wonder Petra originally listed the 123-room home for £149 million ($200m) in 2019. It was back on the market in February 2022, with Carolwood Estates, for £123 million ($165m), before the price was lowered to £104 million ($137.5m) in April 2024. 

The city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates is known for its glitzy coastline, year-round sunshine and extravagant mansions. This amazing home is just one example of how luxurious the real estate options are in this modern metropolis.

American make-up artist and influencer Jeffree Star is thought to be worth £152 million ($200m), thanks to his loyal social media followers and highly successful cosmetics line. So, he has plenty of cash for splashing on luxury homes.

This ridiculously opulent property belonged to the star until he decided to sell the place in 2021. According to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com, he offloaded it for a cool £12.7 million ($16.7m), after relocating to Wyoming.

Situated on 2.8 acres (1.1ha), the 19,000-square-foot (1,765sqm) French Normandy-style mansion is located inside a gated community in Hidden Hills. The main home has eight bedrooms and 13 bedrooms, but there are also two guest houses and, of course, a seriously envy-inducing basement.

The underground space comes complete with a home theatre with red velvet seats, a contemporary wine cellar, a speakeasy bar, a full spa and salon, a games room and a state-of-the-art, two-storey gym.

The property also boasts a huge basement garage, where Star housed his amazing collection of pink super ars, including a rare Barbie-hued Ferrari.

Villa St. Pierre is a true trophy compound. The Bel-Air home has a two-storey living room, eight bedrooms and a pristine pool set in manicured gardens, as well as a separate subterranean entertainment area that's bigger than most mansions.

Tucked away in the garden is a domed entryway, which looks as if it must be a pool house. However, once you're through the wrought-iron doors, you descend an elegant staircase to discover 18,000 square feet (1,672sqm) of fun and relaxation – including an incredible underground pool.

So it won't surprise you to learn that the property was for sale in May 2025, with Barcelona & Costa Brava Sotheby's International Realty, for an undisclosed sum.

Ok, so this home is kind of a cheat as the basement is techincally only partially below ground... but it's too good not to share. Designed by Award Winning, Nashville based architect Ryan Thewes, this mountainside mansion in Tennessee has it all.

Named, aptly, Resting Eagle, the home is a five bed, four bath luxury home that sits on 1.47 acres (0.6ha) very close to the Smokey Mountain National Park.

With tonnes of space for fun and games, the 'basement' has views of the mountains, plus a luxury ping pong table, a TV, and checkers/chess table.

Then there's the black light game room that has a Creative Arcade System with 6296 games. You can go retro with a nostalgic joystick option or use the more modern X Box controllers.

Elsewhere on the same level, you'll find a heated pool framed by floor to ceiling windows that overlook the Smokey Mountains. Our favourite feature are the sunken barstools for taking in the views from the water.
