Perched in truly astonishing surroundings, Hobble Creek Ranch lies in Springville, Utah, on a staggering 3,387 acres (1,371ha) of land.
The remote retreat is positioned in the heart of Hobble Creek Canyon, about an hour from Salt Lake City, and is overflowing with amenities and luxury extras.
Described by Summit Sotheby's International Realty as “one of the most magnificent properties in the American West”, the estate comes with a stunning 17,493-square-foot (1,625sqm) mansion.
It features an imposing entrance hall with a dual, Cinderella-inspired staircase, a double-height living room, a kitchen, seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. There's even a gym, a cinema and an indoor pool.
Hobble Creek Ranch is ideally suited for cattle and horses, with big game elk and deer hunting opportunities aplenty. The compound has all the necessary farming infrastructure, too, including multiple barns, stables and sheds.
There are countless paddocks and crop fields, as well as seven ponds and access to over 10,000 acres (4,047ha) of forest service land. Plus, a separate caretaker's house and high-end equestrian facilities make it perfect for business purposes. The ranch was listed in June 2025 for £35.6 million ($48m).
Few ranches are as elegant or as enticing as this one. Located in the beautiful Bavarian Alpine foothills of Germany, surrounded by meadows, forests and lakes, this sprawling stud farm is secluded, but remains only 40 minutes away from the city of Munich.
Enclosed by almost 70 acres (28ha) of land, the property offers spacious stables, extensive paddocks, two indoor riding arenas, an open stable, a horse walker and riding arenas, making it perfect for lovers of equestrian pursuits.
One of the most exciting parts of this property is the historic villa that sits on high ground, overlooking its own paddock. We don’t know how old the villa is, but it looks to be very traditional.
However, thanks to an extensive renovation, the property is meticulously finished, with a combination of traditional and modern flourishes.
The interior spans 6,114 square feet (568sqm) and benefits from soaring ceilings, exposed timber beams, a dramatic four-sided fireplace, natural wood floors and endless windows.
The ultimate place for a VIP horse lover, this awesome farm was on the market in June 2025, with Duken & v. Wangenheim AG, for an undisclosed sum.
Over in Skull Valley, Arizona, you'll find Four Cross Ranch. Located two hours from Phoenix, the working ranch spans a total of 1,576 deeded acres (638ha), but comes with an additional 4,033 acres (1,632ha) of BLM & State Land grazing leases, making it ideal for ranching, recreation and hunting.
Historically significant, the ranch was once partially owned by lawman Virgil Earp and his wife, Elvira, during the Territory of Arizona era. Scattered throughout the land, you may stumble upon ancient petroglyphs, carved into the rock.
Perched on a hill, the main residence boasts large windows that offer panoramic views of rolling pastures and distant mountains. The interior spaces are lovely, too, with beamed ceilings, glossy timber floors and impressive stone fireplaces.
There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms in total, as well as a lounge, dining room and kitchen. The estate provides four more homes for guests and ranch hands. In total, these additional properties offer 11 more bedrooms.
As for other amenities, the ranch has multiple workshops and equipment sheds, a large shop, numerous on-site wells and top-notch facilities for cattle and horses, including a 14-stall enclosed barn, a shedrow barn with spacious outdoor runs, a tack room, an office, a round pen and cutting and roping arenas.
It's no wonder Four Cross Ranch was priced at £6.6 million ($8.9m) when it was listed with Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty in June 2025.
It might be hard to believe, but this 554-acre (224ha) ranch in Santa Barbara, California, is where the Egg McMuffin and Chicken McNuggets were born. That's because the property was the former home of McDonald's entrepreneur, Ray Kroc.
Despite not having founded the fast-food company, Kroc saw its potential and bought it as a single hamburger stand. He went on to make the company the world's most successful global fast-food corporation.
In 1966, five years after taking control of McDonald's, Ray and his then-wife, Jane, purchased this ranch and turned it into the headquarters for McDonald's. It became a corporate retreat and a research facility for new recipes.
The estate's most famous feature is the grand, circular home that sits in the heart of the ranch. It was built in the early 1970s and named the ‘J and R Double Arch Ranch', although many locals refer to it as 'the hamburger', due to its shape. The home became a holiday spot for Kroc and other McDonald’s executives.
The main lodge measures over 17,000 square feet (1,579sqm), with more than 20 bedrooms, a commercial kitchen and a dining room that can seat up to 100 guests. There’s also The Founder’s Building, which has two bedrooms, a library, offices and a gym.
Five more residences can be found on the estate, as well as two bunk houses, barns, corrals and paddocks. Sadly, Kroc passed away in 1984, but his legacy lives on. His ranch landed on the market in October 2020, for £21.5 million ($29m), according to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.
They say "everything is bigger in Texas", and if this ranch is anything to go by, the adage must be true. One of America’s most extravagant estates, Mesa Vista lies next to the Canadian River and sprawls over 100 square miles (259sqkm) and almost 37,000 acres (14,973ha).
The ranch once belonged to late oil billionaire T. Boone Pickens and was originally listed for £185 million ($250m) in 2017. According to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com, it finally sold in 2022, having been reduced to a cool £126 million ($170m).
The estate comes equipped with a five-bedroom main house, an 11,500-square-foot (1,068sqm) lake house, a three-bedroom gatehouse, a pub, a golf course, a tennis court, a swimming pool, a shooting range and even a private chapel, where Pickens and his fifth wife married.
There’s also an 11,000-square-foot (1,022sqm) dog kennel, equipped with a veterinary lab. The main house is utterly stunning, with soaring timber ceilings, European-inspired fireplaces and the finest furnishings.
If all that wasn’t enough, the ranch even has its own private airport, complete with a plane hangar, a runway and a two-bedroom apartment for pilots.
Boone’s Creek flows through the grounds, too, for about 12 miles (19.3km) in total, so there are endless creeks, lakes, waterfalls and ponds dotted across the ranch. There are plenty of pastures as well, for grazing cattle, exercising horses or even growing crops.
Over in Andalucía, Spain, you'll find this characterful stud farm. Located in the municipality of Coripe, the estate spans 1,520 acres (615ha), with 704 acres (285ha) exclusively designated for dry farming.
The remaining land comprises pastures and holm oak groves, partitioned into enclosures. Plus, there are various structures on the ranch that shouldn't be overlooked.
Listed with Spain Sotheby's International Realty in June 2025, the farm was priced at €5.5 million, or £4.6 million ($6.2m). And it's really no wonder when you consider all that the land has to offer.
For starters, there's a 5,382-square-foot (500sqm) main residence, thoughtfully arranged around a central courtyard. Traditional in style, it features six bedrooms, three bathrooms, a cosy lounge and a rustic kitchen.
There are also six auxiliary dwellings for staff, two storage sheds, a pumping station, covered machinery stores and workshops. As for equestrian facilities, you’ll find 17 spacious horse boxes, two training arenas, a tack room and sheltered spaces for mares.
For cattle management, the farm has nine corrals, each equipped with covered feeding and watering troughs. There are even sheds, farrowing pens, water tanks and a loading dock for pigs.
Anyone who has won a Super Bowl four times likely has a fair amount of money in their bank account – money that they can use to purchase (or build) truly amazing homes.
Well, that’s exactly what iconic quarterback Terry Bradshaw did when he built this custom ranch home in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
The 744-acre (301ha) Quarter Horses Ranch includes a six-bedroom, 8,600-square-foot (799sqm) home, a 2,600-square-foot (242sqm) manager’s house, a four-bedroom bunk house, multiple barns, a 50-stall mare barn, a two-storey doghouse, a large entertainment patio, and several stocked fishing lakes and ponds.
The main house is impressive and grand, with cathedral ceilings, rustic stonework and plenty of timber accents.
In 2023, Bradshaw waved goodbye to the ranch and listed it for £16.7 million ($22.5m), according to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com. It sold in November for an unknown sum. Bradshaw was said to have downsized to a ranch in Texas to travel and spend more time with his family.
According to his website, Bradshaw operates a business from the Texas ranch and specialises in breeding and raising world-class halter and pleasure horses.
