The country singer turned pop sensation knows a thing or two about the property market, as she’s racked up quite an impressive portfolio since the start of her music career. One of Swift’s most appealing investments is this Rhode Island, Cape Cod-style mansion, which she bought back in 2013 for $17.8 million (£13.4m).

The 28-year-old singer went on to buy another Cape Cod-inspired home back in 2015, this time in Los Angeles, California. Swift bought the seven-bedroom property from legendary Hollywood producer Samuel Goldwyn’s family for $25 million (£18.9m) and plans to have it designated as a historic landmark. Love old houses? The rustic mansion contains a cinema room, library, card room, gym, swimming pool and tennis court, as well as a private apartment for overnight guests. Taylor is really into traditional Americana interior design and has chosen to furnish her home with a combination of vintage furniture and contemporary art pieces.

The singer developed a love affair with New York City back in 2014 when she bought the first of her three Tribeca homes, all of which happen to be located on Franklin Street. Bought for $19.9 million (£15m), the seven-bedroom, five-bathroom building is decorated like a modern loft, with exposed brick walls and wood beam ceilings throughout.

Swift went on to buy an entire New York townhouse on the same block, before splashing  $9.8 million (£7.4m)  on a two-bedroom penthouse apartment. It’s estimated the singer has spent over $50 million on Franklin Street alone.

It doesn’t stop there, as the all-singing, all-dancing property mogul owns two additional properties in Nashville, a penthouse apartment she bought back in 2009 for $2 million (£1.5m) and a four-bedroom mansion known as the Northumberland Estate, which she bought in 2011 for $2.5 million (£1.9m).

The reality TV star-turned-businesswoman has quite the impressive property portfolio. Kylie bought her first home in Calabasas, California back in 2015 when she was just 17-years-old. She sold her $2.6 million (£2m) ‘starter home’ a year later in exchange for the first of her Hidden Hills investments.

Kylie purchased the $6 million (£4.5m) luxury pad in Hidden Hills to be closer to her mother and sisters. Built in 2014, the six-bedroom property contains a spacious open-plan communal area with a chef’s kitchen, wine cellar, pool and a four-car garage.

Last but not least here's the youngest member of the Kardashian clan’s latest splurge, a $12 million (£9m) mansion, also in Hidden Hills and a stone’s throw away from her mother Kris Jenner’s home.

Built in 2015, the eight-bedroom luxury pad contains a white stone kitchen with two marble-topped islands, a cinema room, games room, wet bar, gym and pool. As with her previous Hidden Hills purchase, the property is open-plan and features a sheltered terrace for indoor-outdoor living.

You’ve got to appreciate the simplicity behind her bathroom with its freestanding bath and marble herringbone floors. Kylie recently listed both her Calabasas ‘starter home’ and a third Hidden Hills property for $3.3 million (£2.5m) and $5.4 million (£4m) respectively.

As one of the most successful actresses-turned talk show hosts in America, it’s no wonder Oprah boasts one of the most impressive property portfolios on the list. This is her luxury estate in Maui, Hawaii, where she often goes to ‘get away from it all’.

Oprah bought 24 acres of land for $5.3 million (£4m) back in 2003 on which she built her bright and airy holiday home. The house is decorated in an informal American country style and features large French doors and a wraparound veranda for enjoying the sunshine and natural landscape.

Oprah went on to expand on her Hawaiian property portfolio with a 25-acre lot in 2011, which cost her an additional $3 million (£2.3m). At around the same time, she bought a further 13 acres of land and a house for $4.4 million (£3.3m), as well as a set of smaller nearby residences for $4.5 million (£3.4m).

This is Oprah’s permanent residence and family home, which she calls the ‘Promised Land’ estate. It’s believed that Oprah paid a sum of $52 million (£39m) for the 42-acre landscaped estate in Montecito, California back in 2001.

Built in 1959, the property has been styled with traditional American furnishings, following Oprah’s own personal tastes. Now worth $88 million (£66.4m), the neo-Georgian mansion contains six bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, two theatres, a wine cellar, tennis courts, orchards, guest house with pool and a teahouse.

Oprah expanded her luxury estate in 2016 when she purchased a nearby equestrian estate for $29 million (£22m). Set over 23 acres of land and features low-key but luxury lodgings and is a beautiful place to ride and stable horses.

The single-storey house has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a living room, family room, dining room, kitchen and a guest room that looks out onto a shaded patio and swimming pool.

The adjoining horse farm contains a barn, multi-stall stable, paddocks, riding rings and a two-acre avocado orchard. Well, it’s clear to see Oprah has at least two major interests she’s happy to invest her fortune in.

Oprah added this luxury chalet in Telluride, Colorado to her property portfolio for $14 million (£10.5m) back in 2015. Built in 2001, the minimalist property is a contemporary take on the rustic ski lodge model with a stone and wood structure and large glass panels. It's got to be up there amongst the world's most dreamy ski resort homes!

The lodge has lots of rustic design flourishes, like exposed stone walls and a wooden barrel vault ceiling. In this comfortable living room, Oprah has chosen a neutral palette and uses contemporary art to add splashes of colour.

The three-bedroom property contains a number of luxury features including a Finnish-style spa, jetted tub, wine cellar and an elevated terrace that's accessed by a 45-foot bridge.

The Queen of Pop has a thing for historic homes. The internationally acclaimed singer owns a stunning 26-room Georgian townhouse in the Upper East Side of New York, which she purchased in 2009 for $40 million (£30m).

The property resembles a traditional London townhouse with classic Georgian features like hardwood floors, plaster ceiling crowns and a series of restored fireplaces, all of which suit Madonna’s personal tastes for understated grandeur.

The impressive building is made up of two combined townhouses and contains 13 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a wine cellar, double-car garage and a 3000 square-foot garden bordered by trees, rhododendron and roses.

The star further indulged in her Georgian townhouse fantasy in 2007, when she bought a similar property next door for $8.5 million (£6.4m). She also owns two mews cottages that she got for $1.2 million (£900k) each. Madonna owns a number of properties in London, including a $10 million (£7.5m) family home in Marylebone, which she purchased in the early noughties.

Madonna’s Portuguese fans went wild when it was revealed that the ‘Like a Prayer’ singer was house hunting near Lisbon last summer. Continuing her passion for historic homes, the American singer purchased this 18th-century Moorish Revival palace in Sintra for $7 million (£5.3m). The palace is known locally as the Quinta do Relogio. 

Harry Styles has a thing for swish bachelor pads. The 24-year-old singer’s first big investment was a mansion in Hampstead, North London, which he bought for $4.2 million (£3.1m) back in 2012. However, the pop star soon headed for the Hollywood Hills, where he purchased this luxury LA house for $6.7 million (£5m).

The property is located in the exclusive Lower Doheny neighbourhood and overlooks the Los Angeles skyline all the way out to the beach. The house is designed with an open-plan layout and chic minimalist decor, with modern furnishings in sophisticated white, black and grey palette.

The house is wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass panels that lead out onto multiple private and communal terraces where the British singer hosts parties, hangs out with friends and enjoys panoramic sunset views.

Indoor/outdoor living and spacious terraces must have been on Harry's priority list. The property also contains a screening room, gym and swimming pool, making it the perfect place for the 24-year-old to sit back, relax and enjoy a bit of downtime among friends.

The ex-One Directioner went on to buy a loft apartment in the Tribeca neighbourhood of New York in the same year. It’s believed he paid $6.7 million (£5m) on the property and now counts the likes of Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel and Jennifer Lawrence as neighbours.

In keeping with the modern aesthetic, the singer opted for an open-plan loft apartment with a state-of-the-art kitchen and another neutral color scheme. With a large marble table, proximity to chilled drinks and lots of space, it's a great spot where Harry can hang out on his own or host epic house parties.

Miley Cyrus bought this five-bedroom property in Studio City, Los Angeles for $3.9 million (£2.9m). The cheeky star chose the location in order to be close to her parents who lived in the nearby Toluca Lake compound when she purchased the property back in 2011.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer went on to invest in a secluded beach condo in Malibu, which she purchased for $2.5 million (£1.1m) in 2016. The property is a short walk from Paradise Cove beach and is surrounded by two-acres of forest-like gardens big enough to keep the paparazzi at bay.

Built in 1958, the four-bedroom property leads out onto a spacious garden through floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. It's kitted out in bright and contemporary furnishings that reflect Cyrus’ bold and eccentric personality and style.
