TV host, actor, singer and director Jimmy Fallon has listed his unbelievable family home in New York City's illustrious Gramercy Park for $15 million (£10.8m). Built in 1883, the Queen Anne-style building is often referred to as New York's first cooperative and was also one of the first structures in New York to install hydraulic lifts. Jimmy and his wife, producer Nancy Juvonen, turned four separate apartments into one huge 4,950-square-foot home in a gigantic renovation project. Just off the entrance on the seventh floor sits this living room, decorated with vintage 1940s wallpaper and wood cladding designed by Bednark.

On the other side of the foyer, you'll find a huge open-plan kitchen and diner that's full of colour and vintage pieces. With custom cabinetry, top-of-the-line appliances and incredible views over the park, it's an incredibly appealing space.

A restored fireplace surrounded by vintage tiles means Jimmy and his family can enjoy cosy nights in by the fire while they cook and eat. The house is filled with bright artwork and playful touches, such as the atomic starburst light fixtures above the six-seater breakfast bar.

With cute vintage wallpaper (depicting cowboys!), a tall rotating goods shelf and plenty of storage space, this pantry is a dream come true. But it's the little surprises that have us truly enchanted; there's a tiny door saying 'Pick up your orders here' and the whole pantry is soundproofed. Apparently, it was once a working sound studio!

On the same floor, there are also two of the six bedrooms, two bathrooms, an office and a laundry room. Packed with fun touches, like this furry bean bag and a cabinet full of toys, it looks like a place to work and play – perfect for a comedian to hone his jokes!

This beautifully crafted custom staircase leads between the home’s three floors and is decorated with a cute and quirky mural. The shelves display old wooden toys, which hint at the amazing secret space hidden behind the bookshelf door...

Jimmy and Nancy have created a fantastical space for their children in this hidden playroom, fitted out with monkey bars, a toy kitchen, secret hatch doors and a chalkboard wall to scribble on. According to the listing on Sotheby's International Realty, there is even a  “jailhouse intercom” that connects to the upstairs playroom.

The statement feature on the eighth floor has to be this curved bar, complete with illuminated liquor shelves, high stools and low-level lighting. Dark wood cladding and another punchy wallpaper create a relaxed and sultry space to wind down at the end of a long day.

Facing west to catch those New York sunsets, the room has plenty of seating and a gas fireplace with a stone surround for colder nights. Also on the eighth floor, there is an extra bedroom and bathroom, and a home gym.

The top floor of this extraordinary home is also the penthouse of the building. It's dedicated to the bedrooms, with this master suite encompassing a wet bar, massage bed and ensuite bathroom. Out of shot, there is a relaxed living space designed to look like the inside of a tree, plus two enormous walk-in closets.

Aside from a huge master bathroom adjoined to the master suite, which holds his-and-hers washbasins and a large shower, there's also this incredible cosy soaking tub. With the walls and ceiling panelled in dark wood, it's got the vibe of a cabin hideaway and there's even a gas fireplace and bath pillow. 

The newly installed skylights bring the sunshine into what would have been windowless rooms on the ninth floor. There are two spacious bedrooms in addition to the master suite, all decorated in the whimsical style that appears throughout this extraordinary home.

This quaint double bedroom has more mid-century wallpaper and colourful artwork adorning the walls. The rest of the floor has an abundance of features packed in, with another full bathroom, a second playroom and a laundry room.

As if that weren't enough, moving into such a historic building comes loaded with upper-class New York pedigree. Residents of the white-glove, full-service coop also benefit from the jealously coveted prize of Gramercy Park itself. Since the gates went up in 1844, only residents with a key are able to take in the tranquil grounds of this inner-city sanctuary. We can't believe Jimmy Fallon is willing to give this incredible property up!
