From Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to Chris Hemsworth and the Beckhams, celebrities are increasingly inviting fans into their homes, virtually, at least. While some are fiercely protective of their privacy, others are happy to give fans a peek at their chefs' kitchens, picture-perfect pools and even inside their carefully curated closets, all through the glossy window of social media.

Sofia Vergara is known for being an outgoing, vivacious character, and she's certainly not shy about showing off her beautiful home. Nestled in the exclusive Beverly Park enclave of Los Angeles, her $26 million (£19.5m) Tuscan-style mansion has six bedrooms and ten bathrooms.

Though Sofia admits she’s not a chef, she loves hosting her friends and her spacious, gleaming kitchen, seen here on Valentine's Day, is designed for lively gatherings. “We’re always here,” she revealed in a video tour for Architectural Digest.

Whether celebrating the holidays or hanging out with her Modern Family co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sofia has created a welcoming family room that blends warmth with Hollywood glamour. 

The marble floors and grand fireplaces are softened by accent lighting, patterned rugs in warm neutrals and a roaring fire in the hearth. 

“If it were up to me, everything would be monochromatic," she disclosed. "I don’t like crazy jolts of colour and I really don’t like pastel, they remind me of The Golden Girls."

The Colombian actress also invites her friends and fans to peek inside her incredible walk-in wardrobe, which houses an estimated $1 million (£750k) worth of designer gear, according to the Daily Mail.

Designed by Linda Koopersmith of The Beverly Hills Organizer, the enormous dressing room houses bags by Chanel, Chloe, Hermés, Fendi and Prada, as well as rows and rows of vertiginous heels. A vintage crystal bowl, a tray of scents and a few old family photos add a personal touch to the dazzling display.

Vergara describes the house as "horrific... like a castle in Transylvania" when she first viewed it, but she fell in love with its wonderful two-acre (0.8 ha) garden.

This Mediterranean-style pool and loggia is where the star spends much of her time, drinking coffee, tanning and, of course, throwing elaborate dinners for large groups of friends.

"All I wanna do when I’m home is sit in the backyard and relax," she says. We can certainly see why.

Meghan Markle regularly shares glimpses inside her and Prince Harry's Montecito nine-bedroom, 16-bathroom home. Bought for $14.7 million (£11m) in 2020, it's now estimated to be worth around $27.5 million (£20.6m), according to Zillow.

In a video message for America's Got Talent, Meghan revealed a serene sitting room styled in monochromatic tones. Throw pillows featuring minimal black geometric patterns echo the art on the wall, while a vase of hydrangeas, chunky wooden candle holders and piles of books artfully stacked on a console table soften the look.

In April 2025, Meghan shared a video of herself whipping a dessert to celebrate the launch of her As Ever brand. Unlike the kitchen in her With Love, Meghan Netflix show, this time, Meghan chose to let viewers see her actual kitchen.

Stone walls, blue and white tiles and wooden cabinets give the space a rustic, lived-in charm. Meanwhile, the copper pans dangling from the ceiling-mounted rack remind us of a below-stairs kitchen in one of the many castles and palaces Prince Harry grew up in.

The estate is known as the Château of Riven Rock, and after glimpsing the couple's grand home office and its enormous stone fireplace, you can start to see why.

The Duke and Duchess share the workspace and have both been seen taking calls while sitting at this $1,699 hand-crafted pine table from American store Pottery Barn, which the Sussexes use as a desk.

The royal duo have shared videos and photos of themselves enjoying their 7.4-acre (3ha) estate, including Meghan harvesting honey and picking apples with their children Archie and Lillibet, and Harry teaching them to ride their bikes down the long drive.

There are also manicured lawns, a veg patch, a pool, a spa room and a chicken coop, as well as a pergola with a built-in BBQ and a dining area that Meghan decorates with armfuls of peonies grown in her garden.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Brentwood mansion reflects his multifaceted life, blending luxury, creativity and wellness across the six-acre (2.4ha) lot. The Austrian politician, actor and bodybuilder bought the seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom home in 2002 for $4.8 million (£3.6m) and today is thought to be worth around $21.5 million ($16.1m).

At the heart of Arnie's 14,500-square-foot (1,347sqm) home lies this rather traditional kitchen-dining room. He frequently shares snaps of himself in the kitchen, not actually cooking but chatting to his various pets, including miniature horse Whiskey and pig Schnelly, as well as his dogs, who are all allowed inside. 

This snap of Schwarzenegger with his donkey Lulu and Oscar-winning director Edward Berger reveal a marble-topped island and wooden dresser, each cluttered with family photos, objets d'art and the comforting clutter of everyday life.

The action hero rediscovered his love of painting while filming True Lies in the 1990s, encouraged by his assistant. In his memoir, Total Recall, Arnie wrote that it was something he’d "loved as a kid”, and weekend sessions in a light-filled studio overlooking the sea became a peaceful escape from filming.

Back in 2021, he shared photos of himself painting with his daughter Christina, in a large art studio complete with a pool table and shelves groaning under the weight of numerous bodybuilding trophies.

Crowned Mr Universe four times, Schwarzenegger still works out every day in his home gym. Despite an estimated net worth of $1.2 billion (£900m), the former Governor of California still acts, writes books, owns production and publishing companies and has founded Arnold’s Pump Club, a free newsletter and podcast encouraging people to exercise.

He's so busy we don't know when he finds the time to use his flood-lit tennis court or unwind in this secluded pool.

Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth’s Byron Bay home is a sprawling, $50 million mansion known as much for its privacy as its luxury, earning it the nickname "Fortress Hemsworth". The couple bought the 10.4-acre (4.2ha) slice of oceanfront in 2014 and began building their dreamhome three years later. 

Recent valuations estimate it's worth around AU$50 million ($32.7m/£24.5m). This spectacular 164-foot (50m) rooftop infinity pool alone reportedly cost as much as AU$500,000 ($327k/£246k) to build.

Spanish model and producer Elsa has shared several snaps of her home at Christmas, giving fans the chance to check out her incredible living room. The epitome of coastal minimalism, its floor-to-ceiling windows flood the large space with light, while the sleek fireplace gives the room a comforting focal point. 

It’s designed for relaxed living, with open access to the terrace and firepit, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow for the couple's three children to roam freely. 

The indoor-outdoor kitchen features sleek cabinetry, a central island and an alfresco dining space, perfect for casual family meals or hosting friends. And while Elsa and the kids enjoy making pizza on rainy days, they're more likely to be spotted enjoying the great outdoors.

"We’re all very sporty", she told Hello! "At home in Byron Bay, Chris and I love to take the kids surfing, riding or walking our dogs along the beach."

The Hemsworths keep their horses and a donkey in nearby stables, where an outbuilding has been converted into an art studio, offering a creative escape for the kids.

After all that action, not least by Thor himself, a keen surfer, the playroom provides a cosy retreat, complete with a giant sofa and toys.

The family previously lived in LA, which they found “restricting”, but Byron Bay appears to offer the freedom they were seeking. We certainly can't see them moving any time soon.

Although David and Victoria Beckham spend most of the week at their townhouse in London's Holland Park, at the weekends they escape to their barn conversion near Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds.

They bought it for £6.2 million ($8.3m) in 2016 and have put their own, very polished stamp on it with additions including an astroturf football pitch and

Sir David and Lady Victoria have invited the cameras into their homes for not one but two Netflix documentaries in recent years. In Beckham, the cameras revealed the home's leisure room, which includes this pool table, a home cinema, gym and drinks cellar.

The family entertains friends in a £50,000 ($67k) safari-style tent next to the boating lake. Complete with BBQ grill and chimney, it was created by filmmaker Guy Ritchie, a close friend, and his company Cashmere Caveman Wild Kitchens. 

David has thrown himself into country life since buying their Cotswold home. Lockdown prompted him to start growing his own food and he now has a vegetable garden, an elegant greenhouse, espaliered fruit trees and bee hives. He also became "obsessed" with trees and has planted more than 100 on the estate. It's also home to a £100,000 ($133k) treehouse, Estonian sauna and plunge pool.

"The countryside has given me and my family peace", David told Country Life. "It makes me feel as if I've done a good job as a father...having a house here."

In contrast, their Grade II-listed townhouse in Holland Park offers refined city living. Extensively renovated, it’s reportedly worth £31 million ($41m) and features sleek interiors, private quarters for staff and a discreet entrance, ideal for balancing privacy with London’s vibrant lifestyle and the couple's work commitments. 

The couple also owns a $20 million (£15m) yacht and homes in Miami and Dubai.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s Beverly Hills home is a warm, modern sanctuary designed for busy family life. The couple has four children, as well as entertaining. The model and singer bought the 10,700-square-foot (994sqm) house for $17.5 million (£13.1m) in 2020. 

This sculptural staircase gives the entrance hall a dramatic feel, with soaring ceilings, statement lighting and striking works of art.

Their open-plan kitchen is a chef’s dream, with walnut cabinetry, brass accents and dramatic marble surfaces. Chrissy’s love of cooking shines through in the oversized island, statement chopping board and highly styled open shelving.

It’s functional and elegant, perfect for family meals, as well as whipping up recipes for her Cravings culinary line and the couple's pet food brand, Kismet.

Family meals with the kids happen around a wooden dining table in the kitchen, but this more formal dining room lies steps away. The enormous white twelve-seater table could look austere, but its rounded corners and curved velvet chairs soften the look and feel contemporary and luxurious. 

The statement chandelier above draws the eye with its free-flowing form and casts a warm glow over the dining area.

Outside, a 100-foot saltwater infinity pool stretches across the hillside, offering panoramic views from city to sea. The lush garden is filled with native greenery and lounging areas shaded by scalloped parasols. However, the star attraction, at least as far as the kids are concerned, is the series of climbing frames, slides and playhouses that line the pool. 

Chrissy and John previously also owned two adjoining apartments in Lower Manhattan, selling them in 2022 for around $26 million (£19.6m).

Gwyneth Paltrow bought her Hamptons home around 20 years ago, originally as a half-finished spec house. Located in Amagansett in the Hamptons, while the exact price hasn’t been disclosed, homes in the area often exceed $5 million (£3.8m). 

A serene retreat, it’s where Paltrow spends summers with her children, Apple and Moses, and where she wed her husband, TV producer Brad Falchuk, in 2018.

Her kitchen is the heart of the home, expanded from its original compact layout into a warm, communal space. The kitchen was very small when she bought the house, so the Oscar-winning actress made it larger and airier.

It's "a space where everyone could gather, have a glass of wine and chat while I cooked", she told EE72. "During the first few summers we lived here, I spent nearly all my time in this kitchen."

The garden is a tranquil extension of the home, perfect for barefoot mornings, outdoor dinners or watching the kids play under the Hamptons sun. It features native planting, winding stone paths and relaxed seating areas ideal for casual entertaining or enjoying a quiet moment.

Ornamental grasses and flowering shrubs blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, while these raised beds holding vegetables, fruit and flowers are as neat as a pin.

In Montecito, California, Gwyneth built her “forever, forever home” from the ground up after buying a tear-down for $4.9 million in 2015. “There were wild animals living there and swarms of bugs, but I fell in love with the land and the views," she told Architectural Digest. 

Looking at this beautiful kitchen, it's hard to believe. The reclaimed Portuguese wall tiles, floor-to-ceiling windows and large open fire all speak to her signature aesthetic, which is now well known thanks to her Goop lifestyle brand.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas’s estate in Irvington, New York is a Georgian-style mansion built in 1929, set on 12 acres (4.9ha) with Hudson River views.

They bought the 11,600-square-foot (1,078sqm) home for their family in 2019 for $4.5 million ($3.4m). It has eight bedrooms, 11.5 bathrooms, a 21-foot (6.4m) indoor pool and a panelled library

Although they listed it in 2024 for $12 million (£9m), the home was still on the market as of October 2025 and Catherine has often shared snaps of herself inside.

The sitting room is dominated by this baby grand piano. Styled with comfy seating and classic detailing, it’s a relaxed but refined space where the Oscar-winner entertains friends, often posting videos of herself enjoying a sing-along. 

"When my Welsh friends get together at my house, we always end up here", Catherine posted. "Singing Welsh songs to Americans who can’t understand but love it all the same."

Outside, views stretch towards the Hudson River and add a serene backdrop to these musical gatherings.

The Wednesday star posted this photo of her Maltipoo Taylor in a spacious, serene bedroom, which has a large fireplace, four-poster bed and chic seating area that evokes boutique hotel luxury.

Next door is Catherine’s walk-in wardrobe, styled with glossy black cabinetry and rich navy blue carpet. A black and white colour scheme is used throughout the home, even down to the garden furniture and awning outside. 

The kitchen follows the same theme, with glossy black floor tiles and white cabinets, a marble island and subway-style wall tiles.

The Welsh actress launched her lifestyle brand, Casa Zeta-Jones, in 2017. It began with a focus on luxury home goods and has since expanded into fashion, beauty and wellness. Catherine gave us a glimpse into her kitchen while promoting Casa Zeta Jones coffee.
